US food and beverage company Laird Superfood has broadened its portfolio of functional items with the release of six organic mushroom powders.
The new products feature two blends, Calm & Relaxation and Focus & Memory, combining mushrooms with botanicals for precise wellbeing purposes.
Calm & Relaxation has a combination of reishi, lemon balm and ashwagandha that is intended to help consumers face life's challenges with a balanced and calm mood.
Focus & Memory, on the other hand, has lion's mane, l-theanine, and coffee berry to assist memory, focus, and calm energy.
Aside from the blends, the company also introduced four organic mushroom powders – lion's mane, reishi, turkey tail and oyster.
Lion's mane has a cognitive function profile, whereas reishi has been used traditionally to aid the immune system and minimize stress. Turkey tail provides immune support as well as gut health benefits, whereas oyster mushrooms have been described to enhance overall wellness.
As per coherent market insights, the functional food industry will increase at 6.9% CAGR in 2025-2032. The market is present at USD 233.37 Bn in 2025 and will be approximately USD 372.3 Bn in 2032. The market size is propelled by increasing disposable income and a change in consumer demand towards natural and healthy food.
The launches follow on from the success of the initial Laird Superfood Organic Performance Mushrooms blend, which was introduced in 2019 with a vision to make performance-driven, mood- and function-improving adaptogens available to consumers for use on a daily basis.
All of Laird's new blends and powders are organic, grown and produced in the US, and are filler- and processing aid-free. The dry powders are easily blended into coffee, tea and smoothies.
Laird Superfood CEO Jason Vieth stated: "We have long been adding functional mushrooms to our product line – from coffee to our Prebiotic Daily Greens – and this latest addition offers more ways to incorporate organic high-quality adaptogens into our daily lives."
"With the market for functional food expanding, Laird Superfood's offering of products to enhance the mental and physical performance of all of our consumers will continue."
First hitting the web and Amazon, the brand will shortly roll out across US store locations such as Fresh Thyme Market.
