Functional beverage brand Mitra9 has launched two new soda-flavored flavors – Root Beer and Cream Soda – intended to provide nostalgic flavor with plant-based advantage.
The drinks are made with mitragynine, a compound derived from kratom, and are targeted at health-conscious consumers who want support with mood, clarity, and recovery without artificial ingredients or added sugar.
As per coherent market insights, the functional beverage industry will increase at an 8.6% CAGR from 2025-2032. The market size is USD 225.9 Bn in 2025 and is forecasted to increase by approximately USD 402.46 Bn by 2032. Market size is fueled by increased consumer interest in health-improving products.
The new flavors represent an extension to Mitra9's product portfolio, blending heritage soft drink profiles with a functional twist. The Root Beer is characterized as smooth and herbal, while the Cream Soda is presented with a sweet, traditional flavor and a modern twist.
We wanted to bring these classics into the present for today's shopper," commented Dallas Vasquez, Mitra9 CEO. "Consumers yearn for the familiar, but they want products that also make them feel good. These offer both."
Both beverages are shelf-stable and convenience-packed, with retail rollout this month.
