PepsiCo honored the people behind their food system by launching its first Global Farmer Awards. The awards recognize exceptional farmers, farming families, and advisors from PepsiCo’s global supply chain.
Held at PepsiCo’s headquarters in Purchase, NY, the event brought together nearly 60 farmers from 19 countries to celebrate achievements in sustainability, innovation, and leadership in agriculture.
PepsiCo gets most of its business from farming — sourcing over 50 crops from more than 60 countries.
These Global Farmer Awards are a bold move to show leadership in regenerative farming and to highlight that farmers play a vital role in PepsiCo’s pep+ (PepsiCo Positive) plan, a full transformation that puts sustainability at the heart of everything, while driving growth and stronger communities.
Just months ago, PepsiCo raised its pep+ agriculture goal to cover 10 million acres by 2030 — up from its previous target. So far, it has already put over 3.5 million acres into regenerative, restorative, or protective practices. PepsiCo keeps investing in training, new technology, and partnerships to help improve soil health, biodiversity, and watershed systems throughout its supply chain.
