Reynolds and Reynolds announced a new logistics tool designed to help car dealerships manage their wholesale parts deliveries. This tool makes parts delivery easier, no matter how many parts are sold or who the customers are whether it's repair shops, retail stores, or regular consumers.
Many parts departments now sell to local body shops, repair shops, other dealerships, and the public. To be successful, delivering these parts efficiently is key, and logistics automation plays a major role in streamlining this process.
The tool includes a web app for managing deliveries, where dealerships can track shipments, create delivery lists, plan routes, and generate tracking numbers and labels. It also has a real-time map to show where trucks and drivers are.
There’s also a mobile app for drivers to manage their tasks, routes, and delivery stops. The app includes navigation and options to confirm deliveries with photos and signatures.
With Parts Flex Logistics, any dealership can easily set up and grow their wholesale parts delivery service to meet their business needs.
Executive Statement
According to Jason Sideris, vice president of product planning at Reynolds, it’s all about knowing where your assets are, and streamlining the routes to reduce delivery times, unnecessary windshield time, and ultimately operational headaches. Parts Flex Logistics enables dealerships to do that. At the end of the day, dealerships have tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars in parts and assets driving around, often with no oversight. Knowing who has what, and where they are, helps ensure accountability and improves productivity getting more parts in the hands of buyers faster.
