
Starbucks has announced the addition of Protein Lattes and Protein Cold Foam to its U.S. and Canadian menus, effective September 29, 2025. This new launch will address the growing consumer demand for high-protein beverages. The Protein Cold Foam will add approximately 15 grams of protein per grande (16 oz) beverage and will be available in various flavors, including banana, vanilla, chocolate, etc.
The newly added menu atStarbucks will be served with better customer service. Earlier the company revealed that this initiative will be launching a new operating model called “Green Apron Service,” touting improved efficiency.
Starbucks is also installing Smart Queue technology for its coffeehouses to make operations easier. This advanced technology utilizes an algorithm to guide the process so customers in the café aren’t watching mobile orders being filled before they’re helped.
The company’s move to introduce protein lattes and protein cold foam aligns with the growing consumer demand for high-protein beverages. These new offerings are available in various flavors, including banana, vanilla, chocolate, matcha, salted caramel, and seasonal options like pumpkin and pecan. Additionally, customers can customize their beverages with protein-boosted 2% milk to further increase protein content.
