UK functional drink brand Trip has debuted a new innovation, Trip Wild Strawberry, in collaboration with the mental well-being app Calm.
The lightly effervescent drink is said to taste like 'summer in a can,' with sweet wild strawberry flavors balanced by tart grape and hints of sage.
Designed for consumer wellness, this product contains a blend of botanicals that are recognized to support reduced stress and improved mood. It contains chamomile, lemon balm, magnesium, and the popular functional mushroom lion's mane in its functional blend.
As per coherent market insights, the functional beverage industry is expected to grow at an 8.6% CAGR between 2025-2032. The current market size is USD 225.9 Bn in 2025 and is expected to expand to approximately USD 402.46 Bn by 2032. Market size is fueled by rising consumer demand for health-improving products.
The beverage was launched as part of the Sainsbury's meal deal package, before being rolled out to more retailers.
Trip co-founder Olivia Ferdi stated: "The meal deal is a national habit – we spotted an opportunity to catch people where they already are and provide them with something actually useful for their mental well-being. It's a tiny tweak to your lunch break with a potentially giant influence on your head."
Calm's co-founder Michael Acton Smith added: "Calm was founded to make people happier and healthier; Trip is about bringing calm to chaotic days, so this really is a match made in heaven".
Trip Wild Strawberry is in 250ml and 330ml cans in Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, independents and online now.
