Space X Falcon 9 rocket will launch the CubeSat advertising satellite made by a startup Geometric Energy Corp in the year 2022.

Elon Musk's company Space X, and a Canadian startup recently joined up to make a space advertising a possibility. Both companies are collaborating to launch a billboard on a satellite into low-Earth orbit, which is around between 160 km and 1,000 km above the earth’s surface.

The team aims to launch a satellite into space on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, enabling advertising content to be beamed from Earth. The satellite will be known as a CubeSat, and it will have a pixelated display screen on which content from Earth will be broadcast. The startup Geometric Energy Corp revealed that the screen can be used to showcase branding and art in addition to ads.

GEC's CEO Samuel Reid stated that the Falcon 9 rocket will take the CubeSat into the low-Earth orbit and then release it before the rocket reaches to the Moon. A ‘selfie stick’ is connected to one of the sides of the CubeSat and it will be used to record the display screen once it reaches orbit. The footage is then live-streamed on sites such as Twitch or YouTube. Everyone will be able to see the content displayed on the satellite's screen as a result of this. Anyone, including artists and businesspeople, who desires to promote their product or work can utilize CubeSat's display screen to showcase their work.

For putting an ad on the CubeSat, you can choose from five tokens depending on what you need from the ad opportunity. The token Gamma regulates the display's brightness. The token Kappa will assist you in making your color selection. Similarly, Beta defines the X coordinate, Rhoe the Y coordinate, and Xi the time your ad will be shown. The organizations can buy tokens to locate and design a pixel on the display screen. These tokens can be bought via various cryptocurrencies.
