
Actor Kim Hee-sun announced to team-up with Joe Wagner, world-renowned winemaker to introduce a new wine products. As per the plan Kim Hee-sun will introduce the wine "Belle Glos Ballad" at Lotte Department Store this month.
"Belle Growth Ballad" was manufactured with Pinot Noir varieties grown in Santa Barbara, California, and global F&B company FG and wine importer Geumyang International participated in the planning.
In collaboration with Joe Wagner this product is attracting the attention of the industry. The reason being, Joe Wagner is the son of the founder of the kamers winery and is one of the most high-profile figures in the global wine industry.
It came to an observation that the liquor industry has released products that have collaborated with celebrities, have been successful. Example, singer G-Dragon's collaboration with liquor company Buruguru to sell three "Peace Minus One High Ball" at convenience store CU has surpassed 10 million cans in cumulative sales since its launch in April this year, and 200,000 bottles of "Maki-ki Shovignon Blanc," which actor Jungwoo Ha launched in August this year in partnership with convenience store 7-Eleven, were sold out three weeks after its launch.
Joe Wagner launched the brand "Belle Glos" at the age of 19 and later sold the wine brand "Meiomi" for about USD 315 million (about 430 billion won), drawing attention. It operates nine wine brands through the Copper Cane winery.
Kim Hee-sun, who is in charge of the brand model, is known to have participated from the planning stage of this project based on her love for wine, as she is known to be a representative "drinker" in the entertainment industry.
