
AeroPlay Entertainment, a Maxposure company, unveiled two exciting new features to the SkyView software service that operates on powers its wireless, battery-operated AeroHub in-flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) solution. These include an end-to-end retail offering, AirShop; and a next-generation moving map, Flight360.
This technology will allow the passengers to browse as well as purchase duty-free products from their seats, by leveraging a seatback screen or their personal electronic devices. By offering instant contactless payments it offers customers the choice of airport pick-up or home delivery.
AirShop provides smart inventory management and seamless supplier integration to support airlines to open up new revenue streams securely and efficiently.
The Maxposure’s new Flight360 moving map offering brings passengers with the ability to view their route with interactive pan-and-zoom navigation and to get real-time updates on altitude, speed, as well as position, to monitor their estimated arrival time. The map content is presented in a 360-degree format.
The company’s continuous improvements fueled by customer feedback along with industry needs, it has developed AirShop and Flight360. They were constructed completely in-house by a technical team of around 30 developers.
With an immediate software update to the SkyView platform over the air or using a flash drive, these features will be available to all AeroHub’s existing customers. AeroHub’s clients include carriers such as Kenya Airways, Chrono Air, Garuda Indonesia, etc.
