Ford Slacks Price of Mustang Mach-E to Remain Competitive

Feb, 2021 - by CMI

Ford reduced the cost of the new electric Mustang Mach-E in order to remain competitive in the automotive sector.

The slashed down prices of the Mustang will be shared with dealers along with customers who have  vehicle reservations. The customers with reservation have been given time until October to make any changes required due to the change in price. The first ever Mustang Mach-E will be available by the end of 2020.

Apart from Mustang’s amazing completely electric driving range and conduct, there are changes in Mustang Mach-E pricing to have an upper edge in a segment that is constantly facing price change. It is common for automakers to constantly change prices of their vehicles. However, in an uncertain era of EVs, a market which is dominated by Tesla, price fluctuations are a common phenomenon. Fluctuations in price are simple for EV companies such as Tesla focusing on direct sales. For companies such as Ford or GM, it is much more complicated, as they follow the dealership model.

Except for the GT, Ford reduced the prices for base models of all Mach-E vehicles. The prices of Ford’s Mach-E elite models were reduced by a cost of US$ 3,000. Furthermore, there was a reduction in the price of the CA Route 1 models by US$ 2,000 and the first edition models by US$ 1,000. The electric crossover was revealed by Ford in November 2019. This vehicle is one of the first for Ford and the Mustang badge, and also the first vehicle, which is not a part of Team Edison, the automaker’s dedicated electric vehicle organization. Apart from being the first electric Mustang, it is also an SUV.
