
Hyundai Motor Group organized a topping-out ceremony for its Future Mobility Battery Campus in Anseong, Korea, holding a major achievement in its focus towards advanced battery technology as well as fueling its electric vehicle (EV) rivalries.
The event, which took place at the Fifth General Industrial Complex in Anseong, celebrated the steady progress of construction, which began in January 2025. It also showcased the Group’s commitment to leading the future of mobility with advanced battery research as well as development.
The campus represents a KRW 1.2 trillion investment and covers a site of about 197,000 m² with a total building area of 111,000 m². The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. At the Future Mobility Battery Campus, their goal is to integrate the whole battery ecosystem to encourage collaboration across various industries as well as fuel technological innovation. They are dedicated to improving Hyundai Motor Group’s EV battery competitiveness and pushing forward global electrification through key partnerships.
While current research centers focus on designing as well as testing individual battery cells, the Future Mobility Battery Campus will go further by continuously checking and improving the entire process.
This approach ensures that the battery’s quality as well as reliability remain high under conditions similar to real-world use, helping to thoroughly test and advance battery technology.
