At CES today, Intel introduced its new Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, the first AI-powered PC platform built using Intel’s 18A process technology and designed and made in the U.S. The Series 3 processors will power over 200 devices from top global partners, making it the most widely available AI PC platform Intel has ever created.
The Series 3 lineup includes new Intel Core Ultra X9 and X7 processors with the best integrated Intel Arc graphics. These processors are made for users who need high performance for tasks like gaming, content creation, and multitasking. The top models offer up to 16 CPU cores, 12 Xe-cores, and 50 NPU TOPS, offering up to 60% better multithread performance, 77% faster gaming, as well as up to 27 hours of battery life.
The Series 3 also includes Intel Core processors for mainstream laptops, made for efficient and powerful systems at more affordable prices.
These new processors will aid fuel the use of AI in industries like robotics, smart cities, automation, as well as healthcare. For the first time, Series 3 edge processors are also certified for industrial and embedded applications, with features like extended temperature support, consistent performance, and 24/7 reliability.
The Series 3 is set to improve AI workloads with up to 1.9x faster performance on large language models, 2.3x better efficiency in video analytics, and 4.5x higher throughput for vision language models.
