NeoVolta is moving deeper into U.S. manufacturing by starting a new battery production joint venture. The company has opened NeoVolta Power, LLC in Pendergrass, Georgia, to make energy storage systems for businesses and utilities in the growing clean energy market.
The new factory will initially produce 2 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of batteries every year, with plans to increase this to 8 GWh. It will focus on assembling prismatic-cell battery packs and integrating DC containers. The factory will begin mass production by mid-2026. The location near I-85 will help NeoVolta reach key storage projects and take advantage of U.S. grid modernization policies.
This inclination shows that NeoVolta is shifting to long-term energy storage manufacturing, as the U.S. market for battery energy storage is expected to grow to $45 billion annually by 2030. NeoVolta aims to compete in the larger markets, where speed and scale are important.
NeoVolta Power, LLC is set up with NeoVolta owning 60% of the venture. This gives them control over product planning and customer strategy, while their partner PotisEdge (with 20% ownership) helps with production and factory operations. The last 20% is owned by other investors who provide operational support.
The partnership with LONGi Green Energy, a big solar manufacturer, helps NeoVolta connect its battery production with solar as well as grid solutions. This collaboration will aid NeoVolta in fueling its local manufacturing while following international best practices.
The project will be funded in stages, with USD 13 million in capital raised by NeoVolta in late 2025. As the factory grows, it will first focus on utility-scale production but can also raise output for commercial as well as industrial needs if demand rises. The company’s ability to control production and adapt to market changes is key for success in the U.S. energy storage market.
