PepsiCo in partnership with the Alliance of Bioversity International and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), announced a strategic update to the Climate Resilience Platform (“CRP” ), an open-access tool designed to help agricultural stakeholders plan for and mitigate the impacts of climate adaptation technology.
This acheivement marks a significant step in PepsiCo’s efforts to promote regenerative agriculture practices and help build a more resilient agricultural supply chain.
First launched in 2023 with support from PepsiCo, the open-access, open-source Climate Resilience Platform (CRP) turns climate research into practical tools for agriculture. It helps farmers and suppliers predict yield risks and take smart actions.
The platform was recognised by Fast Company as one of the “Next Big Things in Tech”. Unlike most tools that are locked-down and costly, CRP is freely available and meant for collaboration.
Olam Agri and Bonsucro have joined the Climate Resilience Platform (CRP), a free tool designed to help farmers and agricultural organizations plan for climate challenges.
Olam Agri will contribute data and funding to expand the platform's coverage to include rice as well as cotton, while Bonsucro will connect the platform into its sustainability efforts. This collaboration aims to enhance climate resilience in agriculture and promote sustainable practices.
