Software Issue Delays Apple AR/VR Headset Launch

Dec, 2022 - by CMI

The mass shipment of Apple’s AR/VR (Augmented reality and Virtual reality) technology headset is making news for quite some time. Due to some software related issues, this technology giant is facing major shipment problems, as per reports by Tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

The mass shipment of the devices’ component was planned to start in the first half of 2023 but it is most likely that the launch of the AR/VR headset will be launched at the second half of the year. Though it was rumored to be launched in the first half of 2023 but the fully assembled device will not probably be possible owing to shipment of the component of the device. Consequently, the headset will get a delayed launch in the market.

Tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo earlier had predicted to witness an earlier opening of the headset in an event in January, 2023 but Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) announced it to get the Cupertino-based tech giant launch the device around June and make necessary arrangements to unfold the Software Development Kit (SDC) for the developers to make AR/VR device applications.

This Apple product will be expensive in nature and so the company plans to ship 500,000 units in 2023.
