  • In June 2018, Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) formed a joint-venture with Chempolis Oy (Finland based supplier of bio-refinery technologies) and Fortum 3 BV (Netherlands based energy company) to form Assam Bio-Refinery Pvt Ltd (ABRPL). The new company, ABRPL will generate bio-ethanol, other chemicals and electricity using bamboo biomass.
  • In 2017, MOSO International opened its new subsidiary MOSO Middle East in Dubai, UAE. The new company will focus on expanding its presence in Qatar, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait. The company will offer products for architecture and building industry.
  • In 2017, MOSO International opened its new subsidiary MOSO North America. The company will focus on expanding its presence in U.S. and Canada market. The company will market its outdoor collection Bamboo X-treme.
  • In 2017, MOSO International launched its new product Bamboo UltraDensity, a new solution for the flooring sector. The product will find application in high traffic buildings such as airports, train stations, museum, and malls.
  • In April 2018, BAP Industries (Guatemala based manufacturer of pulp and associated paper & textile products) signed a 10-year exclusive bamboo purchase agreement with EcoPlanet Bamboo Group. BAP will invest in construction and operation of bamboo bio-refinery and associated paper mill. The plant will be located in Nicaragua and will have the capacity to process 2,50,000 metric tons of bamboo annually.
