Hybe America unveiled Hybe Label Services (HSL), the company’s first global organization specifically designed to escalate the growth of its artists in international markets. Ryan Hyeong Woo Noh has been promoted to chief business officer of Hybe America.
Noh, having previous experience as the chief strategy officer of Hybe America, will assist on an expanded leadership role overseeing key business operations in the region. Based in the Los Angeles office, Noh will report directly to Hybe CEO Jason Jaesang Lee and to Hybe America CEO and Chairman Isaac Lee.
HLS will give advanced support across distribution, manufacturing, as well as marketing and promotion services globally. The division will be an integrated, single support center for all Hybe labels and their artists, streamlining essential services for maximized global reach. This positions Hybe more firmly within the home entertainment ecosystem, enabling its content and artists to reach audiences directly in their homes.
+ Hayley Williams and Zac Farro have signed a global publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group. Williams and Farro join the partnership both as a solo artist and with Paramore. UMPG administers the songs she and Farro writes, but not the recordings themselves.
The service is the brainchild of Zedge’s Senior Vice President of Product, Tim Quirk, a veteran of the music industry and former lead singer of Too Much Joy. Quirk played a pivotal role in shaping digital music from early on: he was on the team that launched Rhapsody in 2001, helped build Google Play in 2011, and later founded Freeform Development, a startup that Zedge acquired to empower its global creator network to better monetize their work. In doing so, HSL strengthens Hybe’s presence in music streaming channels, ensuring artists and labels maximize reach and monetization across streaming platforms.
