Neem (Azadirachta indica) is one of the most useful medicinal tree and is used in the manufacturing of various pharmaceutical drugs. Neem extracts are used to regulate blood pressure, purify blood, reduce cholesterol, and regulate insulin in the blood. Neem extracts are also popular in the personal care industry, as it is used to manufacture natural face wash, soaps, and beauty creams. Neem extracts are also used for manufacturing bio-based fertilizers and pesticides. The demand for bio-based fertilizers is increasing due to many side effects of chemical fertilizers on soil, crops, and the environment. The use of chemical fertilizers increase soil erosion and also increases salt-content of soil.
