Still wine is a kind of table wine, which is specially treated to remove carbon dioxide, in order to make it non bubbly or fuzzy. Grapes are the most widely used raw material for still wine manufacturing. Manufacturing of still wine includes various processes such as sorting of raw material, crushing, maceration & pressing, fermentation, maturation, bottling, and bottle aging.   • In August 2019, Bluebell Vineyard, a British wine manufacturer has launched its first ever still wines made up of grapes. Currently, the company produced 15 per cent of its production from still wine and remaining 85 per cent from sparkling wine.
  • In April 2019, the Kent’s Simpsons Wine Estate has launched four new still wines and one sparkling wine at a Trade in Soho. The still wine is claimed to be the UK’s first wine to be made purely with Pinot Meunier.
