Neiman Health Policy Institute in 2015, 79% of doctors showed an inclination towards MERR, as well as a higher likelihood to recommend their peers to use facilities offering this technology.
Also, wider adoption of cloud technologies by the healthcare service providers is an emerging trend in the market. Robotic surgery allows doctors to perform complex surgeries with high precision and flexibility. Robots are used for hysterectomies, joint replacements, removal of fibroids, prostate surgery, open-heart surgery and kidney surgeries. However, high operating cost of robotic surgeries may hinder their utilization in low- and middle- income economies.
The picture archiving and communication system (PACS) helps healthcare professionals store and manage patients' medical images. PACS is integrated in the main hospital workflow system which makes it easy for clinicians to refer to the records as and when required.
